My Story: Tony Ward

I've always had a passion for photography, music, and live entertainment. Ever since I was young, I was fascinated by the excitement of live performances and capturing memorable moments.

My journey began in Dunstable as a roadie for the local band Canal Street Philharmonic, travelling with them as they performed at venues around the country. Those were fantastic days, learning the entertainment business from the ground up. I have fond memories of Mrs Green, who owned the famous California Ballroom. She kindly allowed us to rehearse there free of charge and regularly allowed us to perform as a support act for many well-known touring bands. Those experiences sparked a passion that has stayed with me throughout my life.

I later started my own mobile disco,

T J Disco, which became a successful business throughout the 1960s and 1970s. During that time, I was proud to be the resident DJ for Court Line Aviation at Luton Airport, as well as entertaining at countless weddings, parties, social clubs, pubs, and corporate events across Luton, Dunstable, and the surrounding areas.

Alongside my DJ work, my love of photography continued to grow. As technology evolved, I became increasingly interested in video production and editing, which led to opportunities to edit promotional videos for Caesars Palace in Luton. I loved combining creativity with technology to produce professional results.

Although I stepped away from the entertainment industry for a while, the passion never disappeared. Today, I'm proud to have returned, jointly running Sound & Vision Pro in Northampton.

At Sound & Vision Pro, we've brought together everything I've learned over the years to offer complete event packages all in one place. From professional DJ entertainment and event photography to videography, live streaming, and digital media, our aim is simple—to help people create unforgettable memories.

Looking back over the years, I feel incredibly fortunate to have been part of an industry that brings people together to celebrate life's special moments. Every event is different, every client has a unique story, and I'm as passionate today as I was when I first started.

My Story: Gary Horne

Music has always been a huge part of my life. When my dad retired after 28 years as a DJ, I was proud to take over the family disco business. Along with it came the original DJ decks, a fantastic collection of vinyl records, and, most importantly, a lifelong passion for entertaining people.

From that moment on, I made it my mission to build on the strong foundations my dad had created. Over the years, I've embraced every change in music and technology, evolving from spinning vinyl records to CDs, and now performing with a fully equipped professional digital DJ system.

While the equipment has changed dramatically, one thing has never changed—my commitment to creating unforgettable events. Whether it's a wedding, birthday, corporate function, or party, I love bringing people together with great music, professional service, and a dance floor that stays full all night.

Today, I'm proud to continue the family tradition while delivering a modern DJ experience with high-quality sound, lighting, and a music collection that spans every generation. I jointly run Sound and Vision Pro in Northampton
